Project Title: Santa Rita Dream
Brief Synopsis: In January 1991, a small Azorean island is at the center of the world. The Gulf War brings a huge military contingent to Lajes Air Base, operating as a warehouse for US Air Force, on its way to the final target: Kuwait, invaded by Saddam Hussein's Iraq. Under the sound of F-16s and B-52s, the story of a probably impossible love unfolds: that of an American who passes by and an Azorean girl who stays. Lost in the language, so close and so far from being the same.
