Please tell us about the projects you worked on before making ‘Bloody Belly’. How did you start, and how did you learn to make films?
I have learnt videomaking during film school. Collegues and friends created the set of Bloody Belly and with it the opportunity to leave behind us the academic word and move ahead. For me it was the first big step that I hope will lead me to cinema. I am learning through making, creating and thanks to friends.

Tell us about ‘Bloody Belly’. How do you describe it?
Bloody Belly is the birth of an idea. It's the description of this weird sensation of giving birth to an idea.. An idea is not something that exists only in your head, but It starts existing and living in all your body through physical experiences and sensations.
Please tell us about your favorite filmmakers.
Paradjanov and his "The color of Pomegranates" are pure cinema and I mean pure colorful joy. Kira Muratova and Věra Chytilová for their absurd ways of denuncing life-styles based on incomprehensible power relations and for their ability to find more magical dimensions. Muratova directed "Long farewell"(to a sick society) and then "Getting to know the big, wide world".
If you were given a good budget, what would be your ideal project?
My project is to complete the trilogy of the creative process. "Bloody Belly" is the birth of an idea and I would like to tell how ideas become reality and how they live in the world. A film can exist only if you have a team and if people help you. The second short "Montefalco" is about friends and the sensation of being with people that "force" you to transform ideas into concrete things.

Describe how you would ensure that production is on schedule. What steps would you take?
I think this is the job of the producer. I needed a producer that reminded me about time and steps. This was the hardest part of making ‘Bloody Belly’.
I had difficulties everytime the reality didn't match exactly my vision. But you can't totally control reality and I would like to learn to let more magic happen.. My editor Sara Chifari brought a lot of her magic.

If possible, tell us about your next work. What plans do you have for your future work?
I am searching for a producer for "Montefalco", the second short. It will be another surreal story with plants and fruits.. inspired from the true story of Chiara from Montefalco and the miraculous discovery of three red objects in her heart.
